Welcome
My name is Martin Backhauss and I am a professional and published headshot and portrait photographer based in Cologne, Germany and San Francisco, California. Born and raised in Germany I studied media design, media techniques, and multimedia production at the Bergische University of Wuppertal in Germany I also studied photography at the Photo Academy, Cologne.
My portrait and commercial work includes lookbooks, accessory lines, and portraits of professional actors, athletes, musicians, and more.
I can be commissioned for fashion editorials, lookbooks, advertising campaigns, and actor/musician portraits. I also do video production from start to finish.
